Diving the Pacific Ocean The deepest of the world’s oceans is the Pacific Ocean, with a maximum depth of 10,911 m (35,797 ft). This big blue is also the largest, with an extension that covers 65,250,000 km2 (63,800,000 sq mi). Its large extension allows for many diverse dive sites and underwater places to explore, such as WWII wrecks, walls, and drop-offs. Some of the top diving destinations in the Pacific include Fiji, Vanuatu, Guam, Palau, and French Polynesia among others. Species such as different types of sharks, manta rays, dolphins, big old turtles starfish and reef fish swim in these turquoise waters. © iStock/Jay ToppingCambodiaIt may have less coastline that its near neighbors, but Cambodia is still home to crystalline waters and wonderful islands.Learn more © iStock/Jay ToppingVietnamVietnam may be relatively new to the sport, but it has no shortage of amazing things to see with calm, beginner-friendly and for more advanced divers.Learn more © iStock/Jay ToppingMyanmarExplore Myanmar and you will discover a rich landscape of rice fields and gleaming stupas, mountains and picture-perfect coastlines as well as smiling locaLearn more © iStock/Jay ToppingRussiaDiving in Russia is extremely diverse from WWII wrecks to well-preserved historical wooden shipwrecks, the Arctic marine life never disappoints.Learn more © iStock/Jay ToppingAustraliaAustralia offers a great diversity of diving adventures, from tropical diving in the north, to cold water diving, shipwreck explorations, and coral reefs.Learn more © iStock/Jay ToppingEcuadorScuba diving in Ecuador is easily some of the best diving in the world with the Galapagos islands.Learn more © iStock/Jay ToppingMexicoDiving in Mexico is a breathtaking, world-class experience.
