Diving in Cannes
There are dozens of dive sites located near the famous French Riviera town of Cannes. One of the most popular areas is the protected Iles de Lerins, rich in marine life. Wreck sites are also common, with a large number of WWII ships waiting to be explored. Colorful marine life often seen includes sponges, red coral, nudibranchs, sea hares, octopus, cuttlefish, lobsters, torpedo rays, stingrays, and many fish freshly caught by local fishermen that could end up on your dinner plate. In the summer it is also common to see dolphins.
