Diving the Riou Archipelago
Archipel de Riou, or Riou Archipelago, is a cluster of small Mediterranean islands, most of which are uninhabited, located between Marseille and Cassis in Southeastern France. Part of Calanques National Park, the islands are known for their rugged beauty, diverse fauna and flora, and exceptional diving conditions.
With a maximum depth of 22m (72ft), and more than 50 official dive sites located around the Archipelago, there is something for all tastes. Home to octopus, moray eels, sea stars, and crabs, together with an underwater landscape filled with craggy slopes, gorgonian covered boulders, and even a tunnel to an open cavern, it’s an experience to be savored.
