Diving in Porquerolles Port Cros
Porquerolles, and Port Cros, both part of the Port-Cros National Reserve, lie amoung of The Îles d’Hyères, also known as The Îles d’Or, a group of four Mediterranean islands in the Hyères gulf of Southeastern France. With a combined area of 1,904ha (4705ac), crystal clear waters, and an astounding beauty above, and below, both islands are perfect sites for diving.
Porquerolles, the largest of the four islands, and the most populous, is very busy during the high season, and has been described as paradise during the quieter periods. Port Cros, with its mountainous and rugged landscape, is a bird sanctuary known for its rare flora.
